Alex Cote

For Dauntless City Theatre: Comedy of Errors

Originally from Montreal, Alex has been working in the arts for over a decade. He recently graduated from the Ryerson Theatre School and also studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York.
We saw him in the spring as Jodelet in Les Précieuses ridicules at Théâtre Français de Toronto, where he will be returning this fall in Les Zinspirés 3D.
On stage, he performed in Summerfolk under the direction of Dean Gilmour, The Piper, directed by Stewart Arnott, and A Chaste Maid in Cheapside, directed by Cynthia Ashperger. As part of the New Voices Festival 2013, he took part in the development of the plays Adventure Time and Welcome to Hell and danced in Sanctuary, choreographed by Rebecca Sadowski.
Other performing credits include The Merchant of Venice (Ale House Theatre), Le nuage en pantalon, L’hiver éternel (Théâtre des Petites Garnottes), and the 2010 edition of Chester Cycle, directed by Peter Wylde.
On screen, we saw him in Familia by Louise Archambault, as well as in Les trois p’tits cochons by Patrick Huard and Reste avec moi by Robert Ménard.

Andrea Lyons

For 10 seasons, Andrea has been the voice of Trixie Dixon, Girl Detective in the podcast series Black Jack Justice and various, often evil, characters in The Red Panda, both with the award-winning Decoder Ring Theatre. She was recently seen in the New Ideas Festival and the Big Ideas Festival with Alumnae Theatre. She sang The 12 Days of Christmas over and over in the ABC Family movie “The 12 Dates of Christmas” and is a regular contributor to an 80s music blog, rockinthe80s.com.

With over 15 years of professional acting experience, Christopher has done everything from Shakespeare to stunts, improv to choreography. For stage and camera, he has performed in suits, uniforms, tights, tutus, togas, kilts and chainmail. He holds an B.A.(hon.) from the University of Guelph, and is a certified Instructor with The Academy of Fight Directors Canada. Past theatre credits include Kent (King Lear, Hart House), Macduff (Macbeth, Tempest Theatre), Talthybius (The Trojan Women, Canopy Theatre) and Errol Flynn (Duel of Ages, True Edge Prod./Toronto Fringe). He has appeared in over 100 episodes with Decoder Ring Theatre, award-winning producers of golden age radio inspired podcasts. Dean is delighted to portray Costard in this immersive production of Love Labours Lost, his second production in Berczy Park with Dauntless (Balthazar, Comedy of Errors). Since graduating Sheridan’s Music Theatre Performance program, Dean has used his energetic character performance to take him all over the world, performing in Tokyo and Hong Kong Disneylands and recently running entertainment at Allegro Papagayo resort in Costa Rica. You may have seen Dean around the city in dozens of atmosphere performances as a pirate, a soldier, a caroler or a knight! Special thanks go to his beautiful wife Mandy for all her love and support.

Devin Upham: (d EH-vin UH p- haem), noun. 1)An actor of Nova Scotian origins, graduate of the UofT Masters in Drama and the Second City Conservatory Program. 2) A trained circus freak, using the alias: Steve Winchester, the Man with the Indestructible Tongue. 3) All around good guy. Dylan is an actor, dancer and director from St.John’s, NL. He is a recent graduate of Ryerson Theeatre School with a BFA in acting. Dylan acts as the artistic director of Wolf Manor Presents, a new collective. He just finished producing and directing their debut CAESAR. Dylan holds the basic actor combatant certificate with merit from the Academy of Dramatic Combat. Hallie Burt

Hallie Burt is a Toronto-based actor and theatre artist. She is a graduate of the Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts where she is now a faculty member in the acting division. Her credits include Queer Bathroom Stories (Libido Productions/Buddies in Bad Times Theatre), work with The Nearly World Famous DuffleBag Theatre, Vital Theatre Company, The Lower Ossington Theatre, and V-Day Toronto. She played Faustus in Doctor Faustus (Randolph Academy), produced and starred in the one-woman show By a Thread (London Fringe Festival), and most recently co-created and starred in Elizabeth – Darcy: An Adaptation of Pride and Prejudice (Burt and Werneburg). Hallie has a particular passion for new creation and classical theatre.

Jade Douris is a Toronto-based actor and producer. Recent theatre: Moth in Love’s Labour’s Lost (Shakespeare BASH’d/Toronto Fringe 2014), Daisy in The Great Gatsby (Upper Canada Repertory Company/Theatre Centre), Juliet in Romeo and Juliet (UCRC/Theatre Centre), the Theatre on a Theme series (Everybody to the Theatre Co.). Film: Ophelia in Hamlet (Shakespeare at Play). Upcoming: Hermia in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Shakespeare at Play), The FAILURE Show (Everybody to the Theatre Company/Halifax Fringe), Carlyle in The Stonewater Rapture (Everybody to the Theatre Company, Fall 2014). Michael Scott

For Dauntless City Theatre: Comedy of Errors

Michael Scott an author and publisher of genre fiction, and a co-owner of Wooden Rocket Press. He creates hip-hop music, and performs locally as Watered Down. As an actor, if not elsewhere, he is a patriot with a love of theatrical Canadiana, and especially new works. His stage credits include John in Islands and Don in The Demise of Ordinary Objects (draft89); Puppeteer, Fox and Girl, in Fox and Girl (Blackcurrent Theatre); co-producer and various roles in The Complete Works of Shakespeare (The Rusty Brass); and Jack in Defenders of Gravity (Theatre Aurora / Nightwood Theatre).

Scott Emerson Moyle is the Artistic Director of Dauntless City Theatre. Directing credits: Twelfth Night, The Two Noble Kinsmen, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Comedy of Errors, Love’s Labours Lost, and The Winter’s Tale, (Dauntless) as well as Romeo and (her) Juliet in co-production with Headstrong Collective (winner of “Best Director (Independant)” at the 2014 My Entertainment World Awards), and Solar Stage’s Dora-nominated Treasure Island. Acting credits include Antonio in Twelfth Night (Dauntless), Tom Snout in A Midsummer Nightmare (Leroy Street Theatre), and many odd parts in many Drunk Shakespeares.  He also works as an educator in Shakespeare, having directed As You Like It and Romeo and Juliet with the Lost & Found Young Company, and has four times been invited to teach Shakespeare at the International School of Brussels in Belgium. He attended George Brown Theatre School, certified as an Advanced Actor-Combatant with Fight Directors Canada, and is apprenticing with Intimacy Directors International. Scott is a member of Generator’s 2017-2018 Artist Producer Training program.

Stevie Baker is a producer, director and stage manager. Internationally, she has worked with Kansas City’s Metropolitan Ensemble Theatre and served as Artistic Director for the Daegu Theatre Troupe in Daegu, South Korea. Stevie is extremely proud to be the resident Queen of Production at Toronto’s Dauntless City Theatre. Favourite credits include directing Zora Neale Hurston’s Lawing and Jawing and A Streetcar Named Desire. Recent productions include One More and the Bill  (Little Boy Lost), Drunk Ado About Nothing (Dauntless City Theatre) and Out At Sea (Leroy Street Theatre). Stevie is ever grateful for her wonderful Nampyeon and her completely perfect spawn, Stella.

Tammy is so excited to be working with Urban Bard for a fifth production! An actor and singer based primarily out of Toronto, Tammy has worked in theatre, music theatre, film, television, in recording studios, and has two albums released under the band name Under Heaven through the UK label Ravenheart Music. Other theatre credits include Woman 2 (*Side by Side By Sondheim*, Sonus Stage Productions), Lady Ella (*Patience*, Toronto Operetta Theatre), Woman 1 (*I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change*, MudPuddle Productions), Ensemble/Featured Solo (*Anyone Can Whistle*, Talk is Free Theatre), and *Duel of Ages* (True Edge Productions/Toronto Fringe).
